It’s 2019, and thankfully those looking for a mouth-watering vegan meal are rarely still relegated to only one or two sad salads at the bottom of the menu.

We’ve seen a number of exciting new vegan restaurants pop up across the Valley, providing everything from light snacks to delectable desserts and all-you-can-eat feasts.

Whether you’re an early riser or night owl, Fortitude Valley has plenty of friendly spots to cater to all of your vegan needs.

VeganBurgz

Proving that hearty, juicy burgers can be for everyone, VeganBurgz boasts a lean, green twist on the classic American burger joint. While they proudly purvey their take on all of your favourites from sweet potato fries to vegan shakes, it’s their signature range of burgers that is guaranteed to have the hungry vegan salivating. The appropriately loaded Stacks On boasts a stack of fried tofu, grilled capsicum, mushroom and eggplant with rocket and spicy sriracha sauce on an organic matcha bun.

Tea Master

Calling all fans of classic, Chinese cuisine - the master will see you now. Check out Tea Master for an all-vegetarian way to get your fix of dumplings, soups and noodles where all but a few meals get the vegan tick of approval too. Try the kimchi stir-fried sticky rice cake noodles or slurp down a healthy bowl of mixed mushroom soup. This is Tea Master, after all, so don’t forget to finish your meal with a pot of Taiwanese Blue Jade tea.

I Like Ramen

Australia’s first and only ramen joint offering a 100% plant-based product, I Like Ramen’s sophomore setting has brought their powerful brand of potent broths from the Gold Coast to the heart of Fortitude Valley. Beat your hunger by diving into a big bowl of mean green ramen – spinach ramen noodles in a vegetable broth with fresh bok choy and wakame, finished with seared broccoli, chopped spring onions, fresh sprouts, fried shallots, roasted seaweed, chilli threads and sesame.

Govinda’s

Known for their ridiculously cheap vegetarian and vegan dishes, Govinda’s is a classic on the vegan dining agenda in the Valley! Grab a feast meal featuring their famed kofta balls, dahl, curry and rice for just $12.50 (or a tenner if you have a concession card!). If you just need a snack, grab a few vegan samosas with chutney, or a vegan curry with rice for $7 - tasty for you and your savings!

The Stand Desserts

Whether you’re searching for the perfect dessert spot or simply hoping to satisfy a craving for something sweet, it would behove the sweet-toothed vegan to check out The Stand for a treat that tastes as good as it looks. Nestled at the top of California Lane, The Stand offers a smattering of intoxicating vegan-friendly desserts featuring a brilliant strawberries and cream panna cotta featuring fresh and dehydrated strawberries, a coconut panna cotta, coconut yoghurt and finished with a strawberry glaze.

Netherworld

This place means (vegan) business. Leading the charge for all-vegan hotspots in Brisbane, take a break from their range of old-school pinball machines and games and chow down on an entirely vegan, entirely delicious menu at the in-house Hellmouth Diner. Start with salt and pepper tofu bites with tartare sauce (yes, it’s vegan) before moving on to a substantial burger like The Phoenix; Cajun vegan chicken patty with cheese, hash brown, chipotle mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Hell(mouth) yes!

For the full-time vegans, vegetarians and those craving a green change, the Valley is the place to be for a delectable vegan feed.
