It’s an unmissable celebration for beer lovers, and it’s back again with plenty of Valley-based events to celebrate the golden brew!
This year’s Brewsvegas program is bigger and better than ever, with diverse events focusing on all aspects of the beer brewing, bottling, and drinking processes covered. We’ve picked some of the highlights going down in the Valley, so you can be guaranteed an ale of a time at Brewsvegas 2019.
Bloodhound’s two levels will be taken over by all things crazy and curious on Saturday 16 March from 10am-6pm. Showing off unique beers using mixed types of bacteria and yeasts, Wild Life will promote the sour, funky, and tart varieties you either love or hate!
Expect to sip on a sour ale co-fermented on wine grapes inside oak barrels, or barrel-fermented farmhouse ale rested on blueberries and apple skins! Experts will be on hand to discuss their perspectives on the importance of the microbial world when it comes to brewing, and there’ll be food specials to complement the brews.
Remember the days of three-legged races? Now imagine that, but with beer. There’s an official Brewsvegas race going down in the Valley on Sunday 17 March from 11am-7pm, and Brunswick Street’s Osbourne Hotel is the finish line of this race that’ll stop the… saison?
While it’s free to participate, we recommend camping out at the Osbourne, where the team has collaborated with Newstead Brewery to produce a special Brewsvegas exclusive beer. It’ll be all the fun, without the hard work. Cheers to that!
A must-do for trivia lovers, Brewers Trivia on Tuesday 19 March from will be a true challenge of those beer brains! Head to The Mill at 6:45pm where, to keep things fair, a brewer from each of Archer Brewing Co’s collaboration breweries will join a team to share their expertise. Teams will be competing for the chance to win a brew day with Archer’s Head Brewer, Gavin Croft, and best of all? The results of that prize experience will be put on tap for you to try and share with friends!

Netherworld is working with Bentspoke Brewing from Canberra to celebrate the polarising beer characteristic on Thursday 21 March from 5pm, as well as debuting a pinball machine with a brand new skin by local artist Jon Weber, and a “Hop Monster” art show featuring work by Brisbane and Canberra artists. There’ll be hop cocktails and hop-spiked food from Netherworld’s Hellmouth Diner, as well as a limited edition hop monster pin for those who buy a flight!

As part of the ACT Pint of Origin, Capital will be making a blockbuster beer just for the event. Expect 90's film soundtrack greats and mid 90's fashion courtesy of Netherworld's neon gang the 'Pit Vipers'.
