February is looking fit and fine from up here.

With a world’s worth of versatile events on in the Valley this month, you’ll be ringing in Lunar New Year one day, dressing like a Disney princess the next, and celebrating National Margarita Day the right way.

See the best bits below, and have you calendar at the ready.

Lunar New Year | Chinatown and The Lanes

With Chinatown at its heart, it’s no surprise that Fortitude Valley is the cultural epicentre of Brisbane. From 4-9pm on Saturday 9 February and 12-5pm on Sunday 10 February, Chinatown Mall will light up as the Lunar New Year sweeps through in celebration! Saturday will come to life with performances and festivities, including traditional dances, firecracker shows, live music, and stunning cultural displays. You can also take home some traditional fair from markets that span throughout the afternoon and evening. See the full program here.

Lover’s Lane | Bakery Lane and California Lane

Take a walk down lover’s lane, as Bakery Lane and California Lane join forces to make sparks fly for each sweet date that steps through for Valentine’s Day. On Thursday 14 February itself, a two-hour animated film festival will warm hearts in Bakery Lane, providing you with the perfect opportunity to grab eats from a few of your fave restaurants and sit under the moonlight as it hits your eye like a big pizza pie. Singles won’t be left to wallow in sadness, as Galentine’s Day is set to provide a lot for the platonic lovers to look forward to on Wednesday 13 February. Find out everything you need to know here!

Disney party | Woolly Mammoth

Get the best of both worlds at Woolly Mammoth on Saturday 16 February. From 10pm, the most nostalgic music from classic Disney movies and your favourite Disney Channel shows will take over every speaker in-venue. Grab some drinks, let it go, and get down to business (to defeat the Huns). Tickets are just $20, and available here.

Mountain Goat Valley Crawl | Various locations

Crawl, don’t walk, to one of Brisbane’s brightest budding music festivals. Starting at 5pm on Saturday 16 February, you’ll be weaving your way across 10 of your favourite Fortitude Valley music venues, including the likes of Barbara and The Zoo, to catch 51 acts that will be sweet music to your ears. See the full lineup here.

Emetic Art show | Netherworld

For art that’s kooky, spooky and out of this world, take to Netherworld on Saturday 16 February. Emetic Art’s free-to-enter show will let you see into the colourful world of monsters, whilst Netherworld’s extensive arcade game collection and craft beer will further draw your attention. It’s showtime from 6-10pm!

National Margarita Day | Osbourne Hotel

Margarita Day? We’ll drink to that! Join Osbourne Hotel in a night-long toast to the classic cocktail over a fiesta of Mexican food, a special margarita menu and a live mariachi performance from 6pm on Friday 22 February. The best part? It’s on a Friday night! Knock off drinks never sounded zestier.

RuPual's Werq The World Tour Brisbane After Party | The Beat

Hey kitty girls, ready for an after party extravaganza? After being stunned by RuPaul’s Werq The World Tour, The Beat is ready to do what is does best and keep the party going. Catwalk down on Wednesday 6 February from 8pm, with guaranteed free entry all night. Yasss!

Double Exhibition Opening | Institute of Modern Art

Two’s a party, and it makes for one epic exhibition opening. From 4-8pm on Saturday 9 February, inspire yourself at IMA with the opening of two concurrent exhibitions - Dale Harding: 'Current Iterations' and Ana Mendieta: 'Connecting to the Earth’.

Garden Graffiti Valentine’s Day pop-up | Brunswick Street Mall

Stop and organise the roses at Garden Graffiti’s pop-up florist and workshop. This budding Brisbane-based florist will be popping up in the middle of Brunswick Street Mall from 8am-6pm on February 14, offering ready-to-go floral goodies, and for the crafty romantics, a free 20 minute floral workshop! Even though it’s free, spaces are limited, so be sure to register here to avoid disappointment.

You’ll be seeing out summer the best way possible.
