It’s back and better than ever! Brisbane’s biggest party returns in August, with a major glow up. Valley Fiesta has added two extra days of pure joy to our lives, and we are PUMPED.

A platform for our city’s creative talent, from Wednesday 29 August to Sunday 2 September the Valley will open its arms and heart to welcome more than 65,000 festival goers for the 22nd edition of the event, with live music, theatre and art exploding onto the Valley streets.

Gaze in wonder as your favourite Valley haunts come to life in a kaleidoscope of art, music, theatre and culture – and we’ve got the pick of the bunch:

Le Coup Cabaret | August 29 - 1 September 7-8pm | Brunswick Street Mall

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the high-flying extravaganza Le Coup Cabaret features eight performers and combines contemporary circus, live music and theatre and will leave you holding onto the edge of your seat.

All That Remains | August 29 8-9pm | Brunswick Street Mall

A visual storytelling performance by Digi Youth Arts, All That Remains showcases what it means to be a young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living in Brisbane. A celebration of cultural heritage through storytelling, visual art, film and music – All That Remains will both move and educate.

The Ballad of Rosie Quinn | August 31 – 2 September | Holy Trinity Church

Part campfire ghost story, part crime podcast, put on your blindfold and embrace the darkness of Brisbane’s convict past. Journey to Moreton Bay Penal Colony and follow Rosie Quinn as she struggles to make a name for herself – and stay alive.

The Ironing Maidens | August 31 - September 2 | Central Valley Laundromat

Love it or loathe it, ironing is a part of our lives, but you’ll never look at it the same way again. The Ironing Maidens create live electronic music with ironing boards and irons as instruments – it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Set in the Valley Laundromat, the cabaret is equal parts thought provoking and laugh out loud hilarious.

Le Coup Cabaret | August 29 7-8pm | Brunswick Street Mall

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the high-flying extravaganza Le Coup Cabaret features eight performers and combines contemporary circus, live music and theatre and will leave you holding onto the edge of your seat.

Laneway Parties | Winn Lane, Bakery Lane & Greaser

We love a laneway party, and this year Valley Fiesta is bringing it to the streets with not one, but THREE laneway parties. Bakery Lane, Winn Lane and Greaser will transform into mini-festivals with live music, pop-up bars and guaranteed good times.

4ZZZ Closing Party | September 2 | Chinatown Carpark

All great things must come to an end, and what better way to celebrate our quirky city than with a pop up tropical oasis on the Chinatown Carpark rooftop. Ease your way out of party mode with a relaxed afternoon of good vibes and live music.

As well as captivating performances, side splitting comedy, outrageous parties and breath-taking public artworks there will also be free family events in the Mall on Saturday and something new around every corner.

With just five days to cram in as much culture, fun and music as you can handle – assemble your gang and get planning! Valley Fiesta is one of more than 50,000 festivals, events and markets Brisbane City Council helps to deliver each year.
