After creating decadent sushi and sashimi for Japanese-loving diners across Brisbane, renowned Japanese chef Takashi Nami has opened Shishou, an intimate, fine-dining restaurant in the Valley.
Shishou will be open from Tuesday to Saturday for dinner service, seating 12 guests at a time, creating a truly bespoke experience. Decked out with gorgeous Tasmanian oak flooring and dark timber bar tops, this authentic, welcoming spot is bringing fine Japanese dining to the heart of the Valley.
Takashi-san has put all his passion (and knife skills) into Shishou, and it’s not the traditional sushi spot you’re used to, offering short-, medium- or long-course degustations. The multi-course experience is left in the hands of the chef, who will be preparing dishes before your eyes kappo-style (meaning ‘to cut and cook’).
Diners will enjoy a plethora of grilled entrees, prior to 8-15 different variations of omakase nigiri including morsels like miso-glazed black cod nigiri layered with foie gras and fresh truffle, while sipping on a selection of Japanese sake.
Sharpen up on your chopstick skills and get ready to enjoy a night at Shishou!
