Brisbane’s annual showcase of the future of music, BIGSOUND, moves from its spiritual home of The Valley to a free virtual event in 2020, bringing music, art and business together digitally over two days.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, BIGSOUND 2020 is reimagined as a new conference program to connect Australian artists and music industry with each other and the international music community on Wednesday 21 October and Thursday 22 October.

Held digitally for the first time in its 18-year history, BIGSOUND 2020 doubles down on its commitment to community, survival and re-futuring despite the suspension of the live showcases that were a pivotal part of previous events.

The innovative program will include keynote addresses, online workshops, panels and discussions about the business of music, the immediate survival of the industry and future-proofing Australia’s music community in light of COVID-19.

This year’s festival also ushers in the introduction of The BIGSOUND50, shining a spotlight on emerging Australian music talent. The top 50 artist applications selected will receive coverage across BIGSOUND platforms as well as mentoring, online meetings and opportunities to connect with delegates to further their music career and future pathways.

Register for a free BIGSOUND 2020 Virtual Delegate Pass at bigsound.org.au to access the digital conference, networking portal and more.
