The Valley is home to many a fine establishment, ready and waiting to help you beat the heat with a cooling spritz. We’re not just talking your OG Aperol Spritz either, but an imaginative and thirst-quenching line-up of fizzy delights bursting with fresh and sweet citrus flavours. 

Vamp up your next knock-off drinks or lazy Sunday session with these delicious spritz recipes courtesy of the kind souls at neo-Chinese restaurant and bar, Little Valley. We sat down with Little Valley owner David Flynn who cracked open his little black cocktail book to spill what goes into the restaurant’s best-selling spritzes.

The Xie Xie Spritz
For those who enjoy a boozy kick to their spritz

45mL Lillet Rose Aperitif
15mL Massenez Lychee Liqueur
30mL Cloudy Apple Juice
30mL Ruby Grapefruit Juice
Prosecco
Garnish: Lychee, Grapefruit Slice

Combine liqueur and juice over ice in a highball glass. Top with prosecco and garnish.

Fresh Prince of Ming
For those who enjoy a citrus twist to their spritz

45mL Unico Mando (Mandarin Aperitif)
10mL Elderflower Liqueur
Prosecco or soda water (if preferred)
Garnish: Orange Wheel

Combine liqueur and juice over ice in a highball glass. Top with prosecco or soda and garnish.

Seedlip Spritz
For those who enjoy a delectable drop, sans alcohol

30mL Seedlip Spice 
30mL Palermo Blanco
60mL Cloudy Apple Juice
20mL Lime Juice
15mL Sugar
Top Soda Water
6-8 Mint Leaves
2 Cucumber Ribbons
Garnish: Mint Sprig

Fill a highball tumbler or goblet with ice and pour over the alcohol-free spirits. Add mint and cucumber. Top with soda water and garnish.
