[UPDATE AS AT MONDAY 16 MARCH] This event has been postponed. Please refer to the Tour de Brisbane website for further information.

Rise, shine and line the Story Bridge to cheer when the annual not-for-profit cycling festival, Tour de Brisbane, returns for another superb spin around the inner-city on Sunday 5 April. Watch weekend warriors and committed cyclists alike tackle road courses ranging from a breezy 9km joyride to a hardcore 121km trek.

Tour de Brisbane is the only bike ride that allows its cyclists to ride along Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks on fully closed roads. This means the Story Bridge will be closed to vehicles throughout the weekend to afford safe and exclusive access to cyclists and supporters.

Embrace the early start and make the most of your Sunday morning in the Valley with a delicious brunch or a fortifying coffee… or three.

Beirne Lane hosts its weekly Beirne Brunch Club from 11.30am with a scrumptious smorgasbord of grazing boards, cooking stations and plenty of drinks packages and No. 5 Cafe dishes up homestyle brekkie in a cosy setting.

For a punchy piccolo or lazy long black, hit up the likes of Reverends, The New Black and Froth on Brunswick.

It’s best to catch public transport or take a Sunday stroll as traffic will be diverted throughout the Valley and other parts of the city for most of the morning, with roads progressively reopening throughout the day.
